Louise has been an integral member of the Young office since 1995 having graduated with Honours from the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra. She was initially heavily involved in litigation at the District Court and Supreme Court level. Her current areas of interest include estates, wills and conveyancing.
Louise prides herself on searching for efficient, practical cost-effective solutions. She enjoys applying diligence, intelligence and integrity to the work she does and likes to ensure the relevant details of a situation are properly considered in resolving client concerns.
Originally a ‘city girl’, Louise enjoys engaging with the local community in Young. Since joining the firm she has also undertaken many roles including assisting in the building, development and administration of a locally run cinema, operating as a director of a disability services provider, appointed as Returning Officer in a Local Government and a State Government election, in addition to sitting on committees and fundraising for local organisations. Louise has also gained valuable experience during her appointment as a Costs Assessor with the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Away from the office, her interests are many and varied and include colour and design, architecture, renovation, a wide range of crafts, history, books, film, music, yoga, cycling, health and nutrition and grief counselling.

Q. Growing up, is this what you thought you would be doing? Or if not, what was your dream job as a kid?
A. When I was a kid I thought grown ups ”had it all together” now I see that a lot of grown ups are still kids who just look like grown ups but have all sorts of thoughts, needs and fears that can have them behaving like kids in no time at all. My dream job as a kid was “vampire slayer”. Not sure about the job opportunities, long term career prospects, pay or conditions of that one...
Q. If you could only eat one dish for the rest of your life, which would it be?
A. Oh this could not happen! I am definitely not a one dish person. I am all for a platter!
Q. One thing you love that everyone else dislikes is?

Q. What would you do if you won $50 million in the lottery?
A. Establish a charitable organisation and use the earnings on invested funds to assist in health and education outcomes; oh and travel, definitely travel!
