The law firm Gordon Garling Moffitt arose from the amalgamation of two of the oldest law firms in country New South Wales, Gordon Garling Giugni based in Young and Cootamundra and Harney and Moffitt from Grenfell and Cowra.

In 1995 the energy of these two firms was directed into a focused regional law firm providing high level expertise in specific areas of law including property and hotel sales, asset and estate planning, business law, general litigation and family law.
